Founded in 2026, Fern is a brand new player in communications and marketing, but it builts on the solid experience of its founder. What I do is to bring growing businesses access to skills and insights they may not need in-house and full-time, but that can make a true difference at their journey.

My key strength lies in making complex topics clear, engaging, and meaningful for different audiences.
I work with companies across different industries, with particular experience in pharmaceuticals, health tech, life sciences and technology. Operating in regulated environments is familiar to me.
International communications and marketing are priorities for many growth-driven companies, as the important markets often are beyond the Finnish borders. I understand the challenges and ambitions of growing B2B businesses and know how communications and marketing can adapt across markets, cultures, and stakeholder groups in a practical way.

Hi! I’m the founder of Fern, Sanna Melin. I am a strategically minded yet practical communications and marketing professional who thrives on challenges, values making an impact on the business, and is always eager to explore new ideas. At Fern, I work with the support of a network of specialists.
I bring extensive experience from international B2B environments and growing companies. Throughout my career, I’ve built brands, led and delivered communications and marketing initiatives, advised leaders, supported business growth and transformation, and created content that can make even rocket science easy to understand.
My industry background lies in healthcare sector including pharma, health tech and services for life sciences, but also technology and engineering. Alongside these fields, I’m passionate about culture, arts, food & wine and writing.
